Dear Colleagues,
Morris Animal Foundation is seeking interested members of the animal health community to serve on our Animal Health Advisory Council and Scientific Advisory Boards, helping to select the best scientific projects to move veterinary medicine and wildlife health forward.
We currently have the following opportunities available:
Feline
Expertise sought: Genetics/genomics, pathology, nutrition
Approximately 20 hours of proposal review required during the period of 11/3/23–1/5/24
Availability required for full-day hybrid review meetings 1/10/24–1/11/24 (in-person attendance at our Denver, Colorado headquarters strongly encouraged!)
Canine IMHA
Expertise sought: Internal medicine, emergency & critical care, hematology, immune-mediated disease, immunology, clinical pathology, pharmacology, genetics, general practice
Approximately 12 hours of proposal review required during the period of 12/14/23–2/2/24
Availability required for full-day virtual review meeting 2/7/24
Wildlife — Established Investigator & Pilot Study
Expertise sought: Wildlife biology, wildlife veterinary medicine, field conservation, ecology, wildlife pathology, One Health, genomics
Approximately 20 hours of proposal review required during the period of 12/22/23–2/16/24
Availability required for full-day virtual review meetings 2/21/24–2/22/24
Experts in grassland and sagebrush ecosystems are encouraged to apply.
Equine Behavior
Expertise sought: Behavior, animal welfare, human-animal bond, cognition, psychopharmacology, husbandry
Approximately 12 hours of proposal review required during the period of 1/5/24–3/1/24
Availability required for full-day virtual review meeting 3/6/24
Veterinary Student Scholars
Expertise sought: Genetics/genomics, epidemiology, behavior/welfare, internal medicine, general practitioner, critical care & emergency medicine, pathology, zoo medicine, wildlife population health, infectious disease, wildlife conservation
Approximately 10-15 hours of proposal review required during the period of 2/7/24–3/20/24
