The Canine Science Conference™ was established in 2017 to support canid scientists on the North American continent and beyond. This led to the creation of the Canine Science Society™, which strives to create community and foster collaborations in our field. We welcome canine professionals from diverse backgrounds – from dog trainers to geneticists and more. Click below to see what we're about.

Canine Science Collaboratory

  • How can I register for the conference?
    Hit the conference tab Click on "register for conference." Respond to the questions and pay for your ticket!
  • How do I join the scientific committee / review abstracts?
    Applications for the scientific committee are now closed. We would like to thank the volunteers on our scientific committee members for their help with reviewing abstracts.
  • How do I submit an abstract?
    Abstract submission is closed as of May 1st. Acceptance notifications were sent out by May 12th.
  • I need to cancel my registration. Can I get a refund?
    Refunds were given up to two months before the day of the conference and are no longer available. We recommend purchasing travel insurance if you must cancel in case of emergency.
  • How can I give feedback to your team?
    Email us at caninesciencesociety@gmail.com. Include "[Descriptor] Feedback" in the title email. "Site Feedback" for website feedback. "Conference Feedback" for conference feedback. "Groups Feedback" for the way we run groups. Etc. Etc. Be as specific and constructive as possible! Thanks for contributing to this community.
  • How do I join a group?
    Make an account on the css website! Go to the community tab Hit groups Request access to a group! Most groups are restricted to confirmed conference attendees or members. The jobs and opportunity group is open to everyone!
  • What if I don't want people to direct message me?
    This feature is only available to registered members of the Canine Science Society. Log-in to your account using the profile icon at the time right corner of the page. After logging-click, click the drop down menu. Click "My Account" Scroll until you find "Account Settings" Under Account Settings find "Profile Visibility" Click "make account private." No one will be able to message you and you will not be able to message anyone else.
  • How do I find a travel buddy?
    Join our "lodging and travel" group! The ability to register is restricted to those who have registered for the 2024 conference.
  • How can I support your cause?
    Consider becoming a member or donating! As a member of the Canine Science Society, you are have the ability to influence our organization via your voting power. Owing to the new status of the society, that means that you will have substantial influence over North America's premier canine research community!
  • How do I block individuals?
    This feature is only available to registered members of the Canine Science Society. Log-in to your account using the profile icon at the time right corner of the page. After logging-in, hover over the Community tab. Click the "Members" tab Scroll through the visible names or search for their profile name. Hit the speech bubble next to their name. Click "block." You can unblock individuals on your the Account Settings in your profile.
