Description: The Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University is seeking a scientist to fill a tenure-stream position in the area of cardiovascular research with an anticipated start date of September 2024 (negotiable). This position is designated for an applicant who identifies as a woman. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a strong externally funded research program and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Qualifications: PhD, or equivalent, and postdoctoral experience (at least two years preferred). Candidates must have a record of high-quality research related to the pathogenesis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, commensurate with their career stage; and must demonstrate potential for effective teaching and administrative service. Ideally, a candidate’s expertise will complement the research interests of DalCREW members to foster translational, interdisciplinary collaborations among basic and clinician scientists.
