The RSPCA's Companion Animals Science and Policy team is recruiting! If you have a scientific or technical background within biology or animal welfare with a proven experience of influencing policy and social change then this role is for you!

  • Salary: £24,013 to £28,251

  • Location type: Hybrid worker

  • Location: South East/London Hub

  • Vacancy type : Permanent

  • Closing Date: 28 August 2024

  • Hours per week: 35

You have until the 28th August to apply and there is lots more information about the role and what it will be like to work with us here 👇

This is a crucial role for the RSPCA, as you will be gathering, analysing, coordinating and disseminating scientific and technical information on both general companion animal welfare and specific areas of the Society's companion animal welfare work, such as with regard to dogs and cats.
You will advocate for companion animal welfare and represent the Society's policies, aims and objectives through presentation of scientifically robust arguments to the general public and outside bodies, including government, industry, and the media.

We will look to our Scientific and Policy Officer to create a strong evidence base for the RSPCA's advocacy work on companion animals including relevant scientific, legislative, ethical and animal welfare issues and developments in the UK and internationally.
